Nursery News

15th Mar 2018

Our Nursery class have been working very hard this term, taking part in lots of fun and interactive activities.

Spring

Our topic this month is new life and baby animals. The children are exploring and learning about animal noises and the different colours, features and movements of baby animals.

We have planted cress seed in damp cotton wool and are eagerly awaiting signs of growth. We have also planted daffodil and tulip bulbs and many other flower seeds in our outdoor pots. We are looking forward to seeing lots of sweet smelling brightly coloured flowers in the near future.

P.E

Each week we really enjoy going over to the main school to take part in Physical Education as part of our ‘Getting Ready To Learn- Healthy kids’ programme. We have been focusing on jumping, skipping, hopping, running and catching.

Puppet show

We were very lucky to have a special visit from a member of the Armagh Borough Council, Kate Campbell to talk about recycling, litter and food wastage. Our pupils loved the role play presentation with puppets to re-enact the characters.
