St John's boys football team participated in their first competition of the year at St Patrick's Grammar School Armagh recently with resounding success! The boys were placed in the Cardinal Cup along with St John's PS Moy, Tullysaran PS, St Patrick's PS Armagh, St John the Baptist PS Portadown and Roan St Patrick's PS Eglish. The boys beat St John's PS Moy, Tullysaran PS and St Patrick's PS Armagh in the first three games, before drawing with Roan St Patrick's PS Eglish and finishing with a narrow defeat to St John the Baptist PS Portadown. This placed them in the semi final of the Cardinal Cup where they defeated St John the Baptist PS Portadown in a rematch of their last group game. They then met Derrylatinee PS in the final where they ran out victorious with a scoreline of 5-3. Well done boys!!
