29 boys and girls from St John's PS participated in round 3 of the Flahavan's Primary Schools Cross Country League at the Palace Stables Armagh this morning. The first race of the day saw Abbie McKernan, Hallie Moran, Ruby Hamilton, Erin O'Rawe and Molly Parkes take part in a shortened one lap course, 700m, with Eoghan Connolly, Eoghan Kerr, Fíonn Mallon, Caodhan Mone, Danny Carvill, Oísin Curry, Jarlath Doherty, Matthew Loughran, Seanie Trainor, Seamy McKeown, Calum McKee and Rory Boyle lining up for race 2 of the same distance shortly after. Race 3 featured the school girls team of Bobbi O'Neill, Isla Scott, Éabha Connolly, Mia McNamee, Amelia-Rose Mackle and Emma McGeown who ran two laps of the course, 1400m, with the girls excelling themselves, all finishing in the top 15, with Bobbi finishing first. Finally it was the school boys team of Aidan McKernan, Seaghdha-Daire McQuade, Conall Mone, Joe Carvill, Oliver Corr and Joe Garvey in the final race, also completing 1400m, with each putting in impressive performances. Every pupil performed admirably in their races today and were a credit to themselves and their school. Super running boys and girls!
