The boys and girls in Primary 1 witnessed the transformation of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. We have been observing the caterpillars growing and developing, spinning their cocoons, pupating then emerging as butterflies. We kept the butterflies for a few days in the classroom so we could observe them. The children enjoyed feeding them sugar water and oranges. It was fun going en masse into the playground to release the butterflies.
